You are welcome to Ibukun-Oluwa Baptist Church in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Beloved of God, it’s with great joy that I welcome you to “The House of Refuge” a place where destinies are discovered and shaped to fulfill divine purpose.
Ibukun Oluwa Baptist Church was established on 28th May, 1995 by her mother Church, Eleyele Baptist Church Pastored by Reverend Amos Adeoye Dahunsi. On above date, an Open Air Service was arranged at the then Preaching Station (now an organised Church). The first regular Sunday School was held on 4th June, 1995 in Mr E.O.Oladotun’s residence who was the host then, and Pa. Dn. Chief J.O. Oladejo was the Chief Launcher. The sermon was titled “Walking With God in Faith” and the text was from Genesis 5:18-21. Deaconess R.A. Adejumobi was the Church Leader. The foundation of the Church temporary shed was laid by Reverend A.A.Dahunsi in 1997.Ibukun Oluwa Baptist Church continued to experience geometrical growth from time to time, while new members joined the Church too. The Church had the following arms/Units: Church Training Programme (Now Discipleship Training Department), Men Missionary Union, Women Missionary union, The Choir, Sunday School, Baptist Student Fellowship, Children’s Department, Finance, Building, and so on. The Church has her Executive Committee that sees to the proper running of the activities of the Church from time to time. The Vision of the Church is to be a “House of Refuge”. Ibukun Oluwa Baptist Church was organized in October, 2003, while her First Student Pastor, Pastor Solomon Olusola Babatunde was called to service on 4th January, 2004. Foundation of the current Church auditorium was laid in year 2005. Additionally, the First resident Pastor, Reverend Solomon Olusola Babatunde was called in June, 2006. The first set of Deacons and Deaconesses of the Church were ordained on 13th December, 2015. Ibukun Oluwa Baptist Church has a baby Church (Preaching Station) named Ife Oluwa Baptist Church, Idi-Osan which was established in July 2016. Currently, the congregation is around 300. .
